The shirt is soft. It is made of good cotton. The fabric is a tribute to a man who wrote well. The slogan is "Where Hemingway Stayed." He was America's most famous author. He stayed in a small desert village called Cubero. The town was located in a state called New Mexico.
It is a perfect shirt for collectors. They collect the good Route 66 Everytown Collection. It is for those who drive the road. It is for those who also read books. The shirt lets you wear a bit of the Mother Road's history. You can wear it anywhere you go. It is vigorous. Much like my work.

About Cubero, New Mexico: A Quiet Oasis of Literary History
The village sat between the mesas and the lava rock. It was old. It was a Spanish village. Then Route 66 came and brought travelers. They found a good place to stay. It was the La Villa de Cubero Tourist Courts. It had a café. It had gas. There were cottages. It was good.
In 1951, a man came. His name was Ernest Hemingway. He was famous for his writing. He stayed for weeks. He wrote about a fisherman. He wrote about a sea. He drank coffee in the mornings. He imbibed strong drink after the morning java. The woman who ran the café did not like him. She called him "el diablo puerco." This was spanish for the dirty devil.
This was, afterall a true thing. It made him smile when she referred to him this way. Another woman, Vivian Vance, gave the woman who ran the café a book. The book had the author's name written on it. He wrote the book there. She looked at it and put it down. Dust collected on it over the years.
The court is still there. The road is gone. The neon is peeling. The arches are old. They tell long-forgotten stories. They are silent now. The silence is good. It is a good place to stop. It is a good place to think. It is a great place to drink. It is where a great writer came and went. The road was his. He made it part of his story. Now make the road yours. Buy this tee. It is good.
