This Shipping Policy details how orders are processed, shipped and delivered for all purchases made through the Heart of the Mother Road. 

1. Order Processing & Fulfillment

Most of our products are made-to-order. Production time is separate from shipping transit times.

  • Production Time: Please allow 2 to 5 business days for your item to be lovingly produced before shipment.
  • Order Cutoff: Orders are processed Monday through Friday (excluding holidays).

2. Shipping Rates & Options

We offer Standard Shipping to the regions listed below. Shipping rates are calculated based on the weight of the total order and the destination.

Europe (23 Countries) Calculated by Weight Shipping is available to 23 European destinations. Costs typically range from about €16.80–€29.50. **Currency Note:** Customers in **Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Vatican City, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Spain** will be charged in **Euros (€)**. Customers in **Denmark, UK, Serbia, Switzerland, Sweden, Hungary, Bulgaria, and Czechia** will be charged in their respective local currency. Exact rate shown at checkout.

Note on Weight-Based Rates: Because shipping cost is determined by the total weight of the products ordered and the destination region, the final rate will always be calculated and displayed at checkout. For example, in the United States, lighter packages start around $5.70, while heavier orders and international destinations can range higher depending on the weight and region.

Delivery Estimates

Delivery estimates are after the order has been processed and handed off to the carrier:

  • United States (All 50 States + DC): Estimated 3–15 business days. (Includes AK, HI, and APO/FPO addresses). Please note that orders sent to non-contiguous states, including Alaska and Hawaii can take additional 7 – 12 business days depending on the carrier and varying conditions such as weather.

  • Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Japan & Singapore: Delivery times vary by destination, but generally range from about 6–20 business days after shipment.

3. Geographic and Weight Restrictions

  • Shipping Scope: We currently only ship to the **50 United States and Washington, D.C.** All other US territories (such as Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, etc.) are excluded from our shipping zones at this time.

  • Order Weight Limit: Our shipping rates are capped for orders up to **2.64 lbs (approximately 1.2 kg)**. Orders exceeding this weight limit cannot be processed through our standard checkout. For bulk or wholesale purchases over 2.64 lbs, please contact us directly at sales@heartofroute66.com to arrange custom shipping and wholesale options.

4. International Shipping & Customs

  • We currently ship to the following locations:

    United States (All 50 States and Washington, D.C., including APO/FPO addresses).

    Canada (Alberta, BC, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Northwest Territories, Nova Scotia, Nunavut, Ontario, PEI, Quebec, Saskatchewan and the Yukon Territory)

    Europe (23 Countries): (Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Vatican City, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Denmark, UK, Serbia, Switzerland, Sweden, Hungary, Bulgaria, and Czechia)

    Asia-Pacific Regions: (Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Singapore)

  • Yes, we ship to PO Boxes and APO/FPO addresses within the 50 US States, though transit times may be longer.

  • Customs, Duties, and Taxes: International customers are responsible for any and all customs fees, import duties, taxes or brokerage fees charged by their respective countries upon delivery. These fees are not included in the item price or shipping cost and Heart of the Mother Road has no involvement in these charges.

5. Lost or Damaged Packages

Due to the made-to-order nature of our products, our policy is as follows:

  • Damaged Items: If your item arrives damaged, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with clear photographic proof of the damage (both the product and the packaging). We will work with our printing partner to process a replacement or refund for you.

  • Lost Packages: If tracking shows the package is stalled or marked as delivered, but you have not received it, please contact us. We will initiate a trace with the carrier. If the carrier confirms the package is lost, we will typically offer a replacement or a refund for the item cost.

6. Returns & Exchanges

Because all items are custom-printed specifically for your order, we generally do not accept returns or exchanges unless the item arrives damaged or there was an error on our part (e.g., wrong size/design sent).
